Rob Edwards and Gary O'Neil Included in Wolverhampton Wanderers Head Coach Candidates

Edwards along with O'Neil are two of the early candidates in the frame to succeed the former manager as manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The previous coach was sacked on Sunday after the squad's 10-match without a victory beginning to the Premier League season.

Furthermore Edwards and O'Neil - both of who have previous links to the club - are part of the options to be considered by the club leadership.

The manager is currently at another club, which would pose a potential hurdle to his hiring at Molineux.

However the ex- Luton head coach - who made more than 100 of appearances for the club during his time as a player - is considered a strong contender for the position.

The mid-career manager is said to have support from the club directors as they start the process of appointing a fresh head coach.

O'Neil is additionally emerging as a surprise contender, even though he would be a surprising appointment given he was released by Wolves in the previous winter.

The former West Ham United midfielder is out of work which means Wolves would not be required to pay any buyout fee.
